Annette Chavez is currently the Senior Director, Lead Launch Team Lead – Atopic Dermatitis within the Clinical Development Department at Arena Pharmaceuticals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pfizer . She has more than 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs across many therapeutic areas including nephrology, cardiometabolics, critical care, and gastrointestinal diseases. In her career, she has served as Sr. Director/Head of Medical Affairs, Sr. Medical Director, Director of Medical Strategy and Planning, Sr. Manager Medical Information and Review, and as part of a Field Based Medical Team. Prior to her time in Medical Affairs, Annette was a Clinical Pharmacist and a Clinical Assistant Professor at her alma mater, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy, and completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago. She is also a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.
